Q&A

Do you take on translations that are not Sci-Fi or Fantasy related?

We might! Let us know what you have in mind and what your needs are.

What is not included in the subscription?

Complex formatting needs – we mainly use MemoQ and Word, and sometimes we work directly inside the client’s website for localization on-site.

We also reserve the right to reject any projects containing clearly unethical materials, or that simply do not feel good to take on due to their nature. We’ll let you know if so.

And, no other languages than English and Swedish. That keeps us busy enough!

How do we communicate and get the material across?

Email, which is the easiest way for us to keep track of our clients and their requests. We’re currently also evaluating Trello for this purpose, and it looks promising!

Who’s the person that will be in charge of our projects and translations?

For now, it’s just me, the founder of SciFi & Fantasy Translations, and it will probably stay that way, because I just do what I love doing here. I’ve been in the translation business since 2005, and can help you out with quite a lot.

We’re a small group of business owners/authors/website owners who’d like to join forces for this. Can we all share one subscription and use your services?

Sure, go ahead – we just need to get you all registered here with your emails as one account, so we know which one you all belong to. And do make sure that all of you have read the T&C (although only the person or business that signed up for the subscription will have legal rights and responsibilites towards SciFi & Fantasy Translations.)

It says that we can cancel our subscription anytime – how does that work?

If you have a month where the need for translation and/or proofreading isn’t very big for the moment, just let us know – you’re free to use up the rest of your days when the demand goes up again, and re-start your subscription when needed.

Do you accept refunds if we’re not happy with your service in some way?

Considering our professional and timely deliveries, this shouldn’t be necessary. The only option we offer is to put the remaining days on hold, should you change you rmind and wish to restart using our services again.

What if we’re not fully satisfied with a delivery?

Perfectly normal, sometimes that happens, and if so,
we keep adjusting it until you are fully content with what we’ve delivered.
